Thị trường ETF — ETF Market Recap — Session of October 2, 2026: Prices, Liquidity and Flows Across Key Funds

Thị trường ETF Việt Nam closed mostly lower on October 2, 2026, with E1VFVN30 ending at 34,190 VND per unit, down 1.04% for the session on 389K units of volume, based on Yahoo Finance closing data. FUEVFVND closed at 32,660 VND, down 1.00%, while FUEKIVFS was the standout of the group with a 6.93% gain to 16,210 VND — a move recorded on 0K units of volume. This recap of the thị trường ETF covers closing prices, trading liquidity, and what the session's data does — and does not — say about ETF fund flows.

1. Thị trường ETF Closing Prices: A Broadly Lower Session for Vietnam ETFs

Across the thị trường ETF, six of the seven Vietnam-focused funds in the dataset finished the October 2 session in negative territory on a one-day basis, with declines ranging from 0.65% to 1.86%, per Yahoo Finance closing figures.

VN30-tracking funds

E1VFVN30 (VFMVN30 ETF) closed at 34,190 VND, down 1.04% on the day, with 389K units traded. FUESSV30 (SSIAM VN30 ETF) moved in the opposite direction, closing at 24,000 VND for a gain of 0.71% on 13K units. FUEKIVFS (KIM Growth VN30 ETF) closed at 16,210 VND, up 6.93% on the day.

Diamond, VNX50 and financial-leadership funds

FUEVFVND (DCVFMVN Diamond ETF) closed at 32,660 VND, down 1.00%, on 205K units. FUESSV50 (SSIAM VNX50 ETF) closed at 27,970 VND, down 1.38%, on 3K units. FUESSVFL (SSIAM VN FINLEAD ETF) recorded the steepest one-day decline in the group, closing at 28,020 VND, down 1.86%, on 50K units.

2. Thị trường ETF Liquidity: Volume Stayed Concentrated in Two Funds

Trading activity across the thị trường ETF was not evenly distributed. E1VFVN30's 389K units and FUEVFVND's 205K units accounted for the bulk of the units changing hands among the Vietnam-listed funds in the dataset, based on the reported session volumes.

Where the units traded

Behind the two leaders, FUESSVFL traded 50K units, FUESSV30 traded 13K units, and FUESSV50 traded 3K units. On the foreign-listed side, VanEck Vietnam ETF (VNM) saw 790K shares change hands while closing at $16.84, down 0.65%.

Zero-volume moves need caution

FUEKIVFS's 6.93% daily gain to 16,210 VND was recorded on 0K units of volume, according to the same dataset. With no units traded, that price move is not supported by session trading activity on the exchange, and it sits alongside a -5.20% one-week and -7.37% one-month reading for the same fund.

3. Thị trường ETF Flows vs. Volume: Reading Today's Numbers Correctly

For the thị trường ETF, an important distinction for investors: the figures above are closing prices, one-day/one-week/one-month/YTD percentage changes and exchange trading volume. They are not creation/redemption data, and they should not be described as ETF capital inflows or outflows.

What is not in this dataset

The dataset used for this recap of the thị trường ETF does not include shares outstanding, creation or redemption activity, or official fund flow figures. Without those inputs, no statement can be made about whether money entered or exited any of these funds on October 2.

How to follow flows properly

Real ETF fund flow is calculated as the change in shares outstanding multiplied by NAV. Investors who want to track that metric should monitor fund provider disclosures directly, and can compare product-level details using our ETF comparison tool or browse the full product list.

4. Thị trường ETF Medium-Term Picture: One-Month and YTD Returns

Shorter-term weakness is the common thread across the thị trường ETF. Every fund in the dataset posted a negative one-month return, from -2.36% (FUESSV30) to -7.37% (FUEKIVFS), per the reported figures.

Year-to-date performance

YTD returns range from -1.58% for FUESSV50 — the smallest decline in the group — to -14.73% for FUEVFVND. E1VFVN30 is down more than 5% year-to-date, rounding out a broadly negative medium-term picture across the thị trường ETF.
